Massicci is a washbasin that redefines the limits of glass, balancing striking solidity with visual lightness. A journey began in the Murano glass furnaces, the piece results from two years of research and collaboration between designers, technicians, and master glassmakers.
Crafted from 18 kilograms of solid glass fused at over 1200 degrees, Massicci captures the natural irregularities of its formation, giving it a dynamic texture and a unique interaction with light and water. Unlike blown glass, solid glass absorbs and refracts light, producing ever-
changing reflections and an unexpected sense of depth.
A tribute to the material itself, Massicci embraces glass’s raw beauty and expressive potential, staying true to Agape’s commitment to material experimentation. The name, meaning ‘solid’ and ‘authentic,’ reflects its essence—an elemental yet powerful presence.
